Support
Trackdown is made by one person, and a real one reads the mail. Start with the answers below, or email support@playtrackdown.com.
How do the daily puzzles work?
There are four games: Crate Digger, Needle Drop, Chart Clash and Chart Attack. Each one has a new puzzle every day, and you get one go at each. The hub shows what is left in today’s crate.
When do the puzzles change?
At midnight, in your own time zone. Yesterday’s puzzles are replaced by fresh ones at that moment. If you leave Trackdown open past midnight, reload the page (or reopen the app) to get the new puzzles.
How do streaks work?
A streak counts the days in a row that you win a game. Winning on consecutive days extends it. A loss resets it, and so does skipping a day. Each game and each crate keeps its own streak.
Streaks and stats are kept on your device, since there are no accounts. Clearing your browser’s site data resets them. In the iPhone app a backup of your progress is kept on the phone as well, so it survives iOS tidying up, but deleting the app removes it.
I can’t hear anything
- Check the volume, and that nothing else (a call, Bluetooth device or video) is using the audio.
- On the website in an iPhone browser, the silent switch on the side of the phone mutes Trackdown as well. Flip it to ring and try again.
- The iPhone app plays sound even when the silent switch is on, but it still follows the volume.
- If a clip says it could not load, check your connection and reload. Previews come from Apple and Deezer.
How do daily reminders work?
Reminders are a feature of the iPhone app. On the hub, tap the bell, switch on “Remind me every day” and pick a time. iOS will ask for permission to send notifications the first time.
If you said no, or want to change it later, open the iPhone Settings app, choose Trackdown, then Notifications, and allow them. Then switch the reminder on again in the app. To stop reminders, switch them off in the same sheet.
